Leave with the tools to confidently sequence and teach deeply restful and transformative Restorative Yoga classes.
Training Overview
Day 1 (Friday, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM):
Begin with an introduction to the origins and philosophy of Restorative Yoga. Explore the principles of relaxation, stillness, and support that distinguish Restorative Yoga from more active (Yang) practices. The evening will conclude with a grounding Restorative practice, setting the tone for a nurturing weekend of learning.
Day 2 (Saturday, 12:30 PM - 7:30 PM):
Dive into the science of Restorative Yoga, focusing on its impact on the parasympathetic nervous system, stress relief, and the mind-body connection. Learn the role of props in supporting the body, creating a sense of ease, and facilitating deep rest. Explore key postures, modifications, and the art of holding space. The day concludes with a full-length Restorative practice.
Day 3 (Sunday, 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM):
Learn how to sequence Restorative Yoga classes with intention and clarity, integrating mindful breathwork, meditation, and guided relaxation techniques. Explore effective teaching tools, including verbal cues and hands-on adjustments, to help students feel fully supported. The training will conclude with practice teaching sessions, offering constructive feedback so you leave confident in sharing the gift of Restorative Yoga.
