Erick DuPree is a cultural anthropologist, award-winning author, and experienced yoga educator (E-RYT 500). He has trained yoga teachers at the 200- and 300-hour levels, as well as many of Philadelphia’s restorative yoga teachers. 

Erick began his yoga journey with a 200-hour foundational training in Anusara-inspired Hatha Yoga at DIG Yoga. He then completed a 300-hour advanced certification at Laughing Lotus NYC, achieving the highest accreditation level with Yoga Alliance. Erick continued his studies under mentor Jillian Pransky, earning a 200-hour Therapeutic Restorative Yoga certification, and also completed a 100-hour Yin Yoga training with Sally Miller.

He has studied with Judith Lasater and is among the few Relax & Renew® Level II Teachers in the region. Erick is also a graduate of The Oasis Institute’s Mindfulness Teacher Trainer program. For a complete list of Erick’s credentials can be found here.

In 2015, Erick opened Three Queens Yoga with founder Mariel Freeman. As the business development partner, he curates transformative programming, fosters brand partnerships, and oversees financial operations in addition to teaching and training.

Erick earned his PhD at Queens University and is the author of several books, including his latest, Awaken to Mindfulness Cultivating Daily Practice and Wellbeing, which has received praise for its clear, grounded approach to cultivating awareness and inner peace.
