Designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners, this training offers a comprehensive understanding of Restorative Yoga’s foundations, anatomy, nervous system support, and practical teaching skills. Leave with the tools to confidently sequence and teach deeply restful and transformative Restorative Yoga classes.

This 15-hour program includes meets over the course of a weekend.

History and Practice

  • Origins & Philosophy of Restorative Yoga

  • Key Principles: Relaxation, stillness, and support

  • Experiential Practice: Conclude with a grounding Restorative session to set the tone for the weekend

Science and Methodology

  • Science of Restorative Yoga: Impact on the parasympathetic nervous system and stress relief

  • Role of Props: How to support the body and facilitate deep rest

  • Key Postures & Modifications: Explore fundamental poses and adjustments

  • Holding Space: Create an environment of ease and safety

  • Full-Length Practice: Experience a complete Restorative class to embody the teachings

Teaching Practicum

  • Sequencing Restorative Classes: Incorporate mindful breathwork, meditation, and guided relaxation

  • Teaching Tools: Effective verbal cues, hands-on adjustments, and fostering student support

  • Practice Teaching Sessions: Receive constructive feedback to build confidence in sharing Restorative Yoga with others
