This 30-hour program includes 15 hours of in-person sessions, divided into two parts.
The Kickoff Session (7.5 hours in person) provides welcome and orientation, introduces foundational mindfulness techniques such as Body Scan, Breath Awareness, and Metta, and covers the basics of guiding meditation safely and ethically.
The Wrap-Up Session (7.5 hours In person) delves into advanced teaching concepts, deepens scriptwork, and culminates in a final teaching practicum, where participants lead a 15-minute meditation followed by group feedback, celebrating growth and next steps.
5-hour External Teaching Practicum, where trainees lead short meditations (Body Scan, Breath Awareness, or Metta) in real-world settings—family, friends, or community—and submit a written reflection on their experiences and insights. Participants also commit to
5 hours of Independent Sitting & Reflection, maintaining a practice journal to capture observations, obstacles, and epiphanies, and may choose to engage in up to 5 additional hours of recommended study through optional readings (e.g., Wherever You Go, There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn), lectures, podcasts, or journaling, all of which offer flexible opportunities for deeper exploration.
